Cyber Monday Solution for Buying Real Estate

This past week we've had the opportunity to work 15 contracts,
thank you to our seller's and buyer's for contacting us through this site.
Everything has been done electronically through docusign.
Electronic signatures done securely through email with no paper,
no fuss, no scanning and absolutely no faxing, that's so 1990's.
It's very green and easy to do, also very cost effective and best
of all you can live anywhere in the world and buy a house here
in little' old Dallas, Texas.
Here's how it works, once you decide what the terms of your contract
are, we simply fill in the blanks and upload it to docusign, a Seattle based
company and you are invited to participate.
You pick a user password (yes, another one) and pick a signature font.
Then you click on the yellow stickies and sign with a click. Of course,
if something is not right or you just change your mind, you can decline
the document for revision. It really is that simple. You are in control.
We have been doing contracts this way for a little over two years.
Almost every agent we work with is emailing contracts initially.
What's interesting about this weekend is a major brokers email would not go
through because it did not like the subject of the contract (the address).
I must admit you expect an email to go through unless you get the
email address wrong.
That is the first time in two years a contract has not gone through.
Follow up is crucial so of course we call, but too not be able to receive a
contract for your client is ridiculous. We ended up sending directly to the
seller, who was connected.
After the contract was received and reviewed - the response went
something like this..."before we kill any more trees"....
My goodness - do people actually print out all contracts to read!
By today's technology standards you should be able to look at and respond by
email, that is the most sensible approach and efficient at best. A counter
needs to be in writing and email is an acceptable form. (DUH!)
It's way to easy to be green and set up docusign - it doesn't cost that
much either and most of all you can save the environment and read the
contract without any waste. You gotta love it.
So, if you find a home in one of our neighborhoods and would like to
make an offer you can do so quickly and securely with docusign
and Plano Homes and Land. (little bit of shameless promotion) on this
Cyber Monday.
